Oscillations (2010)

Responsive audio installation regulates audio feedback through damping materials, Arduino microcontrollers, and motorized devices that mechanically adjust volume levels. The resulting soundscape gradually fluctuates between consonant harmonics and noise, and is contingent on factors such as temperature, visitor activity, and air pressure. The contours and materiality of exhibition space create varied pockets of acoustic intensity and activity.
